THE FASHION BRAND COMMUNICATOR COMPETITION
Master in Fashion Styling & Visual Merchandising in partnership with Vogue Talents – September 2019
Created by Vogue Italia, Vogue Talents is a biannual publication and a key section of Vogue.it. Vogue Talents is led by Sara Sozzani Maino, vice director of the magazine, talent scout of emerging fashion designers, curator of Who Is on Next? and The Next Talents, and a judge for several international fashion competitions. In this competition you will visualize inspirational elements for the Fashion Stylist and Visual Merchandiser.
Candidates are invited to present a comprehensive project, based on the creation of a mood-board visualizing elements of their own culture that could be relevant to developing a visual communication proposal for a selected international fashion brand.
The project should be able to visually communicate an original concept through a storytelling approach, rich in creative elements for the fashion stylist and visual merchandiser, generated by visual elements from the candidate’s country of origin.
The candidate can leverage the techniques and media of their choice, from photo shoots to visual merchandising, from editorials to visual displays, from visual merchandising to social media content and video making, up to the most innovative communication techniques, based on their inspirational mood-board.
The candidate should act as a magnifying glass, always ready to capture beauty and originality, in order to reveal and catch different elements and details from their country, producing a personal visual project.
The works must be sent to Domus Academy by and no later than 5th April, 2019.
Candidates will be informed about the results of the competition by e-mail on 6th May, 2019.
