In envisioning a future where the fashion industry and environmental sustainability coexist harmoniously, adopting a circular fashion economy emerges as not just strategic, but imperative. Through collaborative efforts from designers, producers, and consumers, a sustainable, circular fashion industry is not merely a distant utopia, but an attainable, necessary reality. As we weave through the threads of creativity, innovation, and sustainability, the circular fashion economy guides us towards a future where style and sustainability are not antagonists, but allies in crafting a resilient, equitable, and stylish world.

Candidates are asked to design a Sustainable Drop Collection adhering to the principles of the Circular Economy, specifically focusing on the 3Rs - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

Reduce: Demonstrate minimalist design, incorporating lowimpact materials and processes to diminish the ecological footprint.

Reuse: Implement creative strategies for designing garments that can be re-worn, re-purposed, or reconstructed to extend their lifecycle.

Recycle: Employ materials and design methods that enable the recycling of garments into new fashion items or into other industries.

The Drop collection (four garments) will have to show the identity of the candidate designer his/her aesthetic language).

Candidates must support their project with consistent visual research, illustrating the inspirations of the collection and the design development process, showcase innovative design, aesthetic excellence, and practical wearability, including sketches, illustrations and final line up. Candidates may also decide to submit the drop collection developing NFTs in CLO3d.
