INTRO

Translating trends and directions into visual content is vital in fashion as it bridges design innovation and audience engagement. It transforms abstract ideas into tangible narratives, aligning with brand identity and cultural relevance. Effective visuals capture the essence of trends, driving inspiration, consumer connection, and industry influence in an ever-evolving market.

BRIEF

Candidates are asked to design innovative and creative visual content that captures an aspect of “Responsible Fashion” in visual communication: a Styling or a Retail project.

Candidates are invited to create innovative visual content that captures a trend or direction from the A/W 25-26 fashion collections. This challenge offers two creative pathways: Styling or Retail.

For the Styling Project, candidates will develop a fashion editorial or short film for a magazine—online or offline—of their choice. The editorial must not only showcase the chosen trend but also align with the visual identity of the selected media outlet. Creativity in styling is key, with an emphasis on combining and mixing vintage clothing to craft a cohesive, engaging, and contemporary visual narrative.

For the Retail Project, candidates will design a window or in-store display for a retail store. This project should creatively use sets and props to construct an eye-catching showcase that highlights the selected trend. An emphasis on sustainability is essential, encouraging the use of environmentally conscious materials.

Both approaches aim to merge innovation, sustainability, and aesthetics, challenging candidates to create visually compelling narratives that reflect the evolving demands of fashion communication. This project invites participants to push boundaries while staying rooted in the values of responsibility and creative excellence.
