The world of retail and styling thrives on the powerful tool of visual communication. Today, as global fashion brands seek deeper connections with their audiences, they look beyond generic aesthetics and move towards narratives grounded in local cultures and contexts. This competition focuses on the concept of ‘genius loci’ or ‘the spirit of the place,’ inviting participants to develop visual communication content inspired by a specific local distinctive character, yet tailored to an established International fashion brand.
Candidates are asked to design innovative and creative visual content that captures the essence of a chosen location, reflecting its unique culture, history, or vibe, and seamlessly integrates it into the visual communication of an International fashion brand.
The project should demonstrate an understanding of the chosen country/place and fashion brand, as well as the ability to merge these two elements in a coherent, engaging, and aesthetically pleasing visual narrative. You can choose any form of visual communication prevalent in retail and styling, such as window displays, in-store installations, social media content, shootings, video or campaign imagery.
The proposals should reflect sensitivity to the authenticity of the place and respect for its cultural nuances, while ensuring alignment with the brand identity and appeal of the chosen fashion label. The result should be a captivating fusion of the local spirit and global fashion, leading to a distinct and compelling visual communication strategy.
Through this competition, we aim to encourage creativity and cultural exploration, fostering a more diverse and inclusive approach to visual communication in fashion communication.APPLY NOW When you submit your project you will receive an immediate confirmation email that your submission was received.
