INTRO

As fashion grapples with its environmental footprint, new generations of creatives are called to reinvent the industry’s visual language through sustainability. This competition invites to explore how discarded garments, deadstock or post-consumer materials can be transformed into powerful styling and merchandising narratives.

Whether through fashion editorials or visual retail installations, participants are encouraged to merge aesthetic innovation with environmental awareness, demonstrating how waste can become a resource - and storytelling tool - in contemporary fashion practice.

BRIEF

Develop a sustainable visual concept that reimagines the potential of pre-existing or discarded materials within the context of fashion styling and retail display. You may choose between two creative directions:

1. Styling Outcome:

create a styled editorial (or micro-collection lookbook) featuring looks made from upcycled or restyled garments.

The editorial should communicate a clear aesthetic vision while reflecting a commitment to sustainability and wasteconscious design.

2. Visual Merchandising Outcome:

develop a visual display concept for a retail space - such as a store window, pop-up, or in-store installation - that supports and elevates a sustainable collection. The proposal should emphasise storytelling, material reuse and customer engagement through layout, composition and brand alignment.

Both directions should reflect a cohesive visual narrative that critiques fast fashion culture while celebrating transformation, material experimentation, and mindful consumption.
