INTRO

In recent years, mental health and well-being have become critical social topics, driving brands and organisations to take meaningful action. Initiatives like Dove’s “Courage is Beautiful” highlighted the emotional and mental toll on healthcare workers during the pandemic, showcasing empathy through powerful visuals. Lego’s “Rebuild the World” emphasises creativity as a tool for stress relief and emotional well-being, encouraging both children and adults to cope through imaginative play.

Similarly, Ikea has addressed mental health by focusing on creating home environments that promote relaxation and balance, with campaigns highlighting the importance of restful spaces for emotional wellness. Other notable initiatives include Spotify’s “Mood Booster Playlists”, which provide curated music to uplift users and support emotional regulation, and Unilever’s “Breaking the Silence”, which focuses on mental health awareness among employees, promoting a supportive work culture and reducing stigma in the workplace.

These examples demonstrate the role of design and communication in creating impactful campaigns that spark conversations, reduce stigma, and provide practical solutions. This competition invites participants to build on this momentum and design a visual branding strategy that advocates for mental health and well-being.
